Indigo Sun, a leading sunbed provider in the UK, wanted to share new, independent research from the University of Edinburgh that highlighted the health benefits of UV exposure. The study revealed that controlled sunbed use is linked to lower all-cause mortality rates compared to those who do not use sunbeds. As this research provided valuable new insights into tanning’s potential health benefits, we were tasked with creating an engaging and accessible way to communicate these findings to Indigo Sun’s customer base and the wider public.
THE SOLUTION
We developed an explainer video that distilled the key findings of the study into a clear, visually engaging, and easily digestible format. The video highlighted the health benefits of responsible sunbed use, including its role in Vitamin D production and overall well-being. By using simple animations, on-screen text, and a professional voiceover, we ensured that the information was both credible and compelling. The video was embedded on Indigo Sun’s website alongside a detailed breakdown of the study and its findings, providing customers with both a quick overview and the option to explore the full research.

THE RESULTS
To maximise its reach and impact, the video was emailed out to Indigo Sun’s extensive customer database, ensuring that the key findings reached the most relevant audience. This direct approach allowed customers to engage with the content in their own time while driving traffic to the dedicated Health Benefits page on the Indigo Sun website. The campaign successfully informed their audience about the latest research, reinforcing Indigo Sun’s position as a trusted source of knowledge on safe tanning practices.
