COSLA (the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities) is the national membership organisation for Scotland's 32 councils, serving as the voice of local government in Scotland. Its primary functions include providing political leadership, representing councils' interests on national issues, and working with councils to improve local services and strengthen local democracy.
They wanted a brand refresh, they wanted a more professional and polished face to their organisation. We were approached to design their new Manifesto document that would be sent and delivered to the Scottish Government and local MP's. It had to have instant impact when it landed on desks, and more importantly in was needed to be taken seriously, the document needed to embrace the COSLA ethics, it needed to be streamlined, it needed to be easily digested by all who read it, it needed a strong design that reflected their organisations brand values.
